Each Hot Desking user is given their own agent ID.
While they are logged into an Inter-Tel endpoint with this agent ID, the telephone becomes theirs.
Any incoming calls to their agent ID; intercom, DDI or hunt group will now be routed to that phone.
Logout of the telephone and it will revert back to its previous state, ready to be used by someone else.
The following are a list of features that will follow the user when using Hot Desking:
- username & description
- class of service
- voicemail
- intercom, DDI & Hunt Group calls
- outgoing caller ID
- stations speed dials
When logged out, the user can have the choice of sending their calls to voicemail,
a secretary / colleague or to any diallable device such as a mobile phone.
Each user can have their own logged out destination and can change it themselves
through the telephone keypad.
Two version of Hot Desking are available on the Xarios Application Server, Single-Node and Multi-Node.
When running in Multi-Node mode, users will be able to log into any connected phone system and
retrieve their calls.
