Barred Numbers
Managing numbers that are on don't call lists like the TPS
(Telephone Preference Service) or internal lists of existing
customers is very important. Campaign Manager provides a
comprehensive barred number management interface that allows users
to set up multiple barred number lists, group them together and
then apply them to a campaign for cleaning. This allows each
campaign to be cleaned against its own or a common barring list if
required.
Telephone Preference Service
The Telephone Preference Service is run by the Direct Marketing
Association and provides a list of all parties in the UK where
telephone users have registered not to receive unsolicited
calls. If Campaign Manager is being used to make telesales
calls it is necessary to load TPS data as a barred number list
and clean the telesales campaigns against it.
On The Fly
Barred numbers can also be added on-the-fly by entering
disposition codes. If a customer is adamant they do not wish to be
called, the user can press a corresponding button on their phone /
desktop
client to enter the "Do Not Call" disposition code. The
current numbers associated with the contact record will then
be added to the barred number list and will not be dialed
again.
